Basic Stretches/Wellness

60mins-Stretch to relax. A great therapy to help reduce physical, emotional and mental stress, and injury prevention.  You may think of stretching as something performed only by runners or gymnasts. But we all need to stretch in order to protect our mobility and independence. Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way.

Why stretching is important: Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.

Stretching promote healing. Stretching helps relax muscles and makes them more flexible. It also helps rebuild muscle fibers and improve circulation, which all contributes to muscle recovery.

It will improve muscle recovery by helping lactic acid subside, as well as stretch out the tense muscles. This will help eliminate soreness after a workout. Stretching will also benefit muscle recovery by increasing length and mobility.

Whether you are suffering from delayed off set muscle pains or injuries, you can benefit from rehabilitation stretches. Rehabilitation Stretches, focus on one muscle group or several, to  releasing of  trapped lactic acid, lengthening your muscle, relax the tendon/ligament to  allows more flow of oxygen which in turn improves muscle function and overall activity.
