Comprehensive Reflexology Therapy

Comprehensive Reflexology Therapy is a therapy that focus on podiatrist foot pains/foot issues.  You never really realize how important your feet are until something is wrong with them and it is hard to walk.  Sometimes the problems are acute and can be resolved with ice, heat, exercises, or a change in footwear.

According to the IPMA, more than 16 million Americans suffer from foot problems every year. Unfortunately, most people are unable to care for their feet properly and by the time they go to a podiatrist, it is already too late. Due to the high number of problems caused by foot pain, we have created this treatment therapy to complement with the treatment of podiatrists.

Podiatry is the treatment of disorders of the foot. A doctor of podiatric medicine (podiatrist) is a specialist who is trained in the medical treatment of feet, particularly diseases and injuries that affect the foot and its ability to function. A podiatrist has thoroughly studied the relationship between the foot muscles and related bone structure, and how they work together.

The physician also assesses other internal medical conditions affecting the feet, such as diabetes. Diabetics must pay close attention to foot care. After assessing the patient’s condition, the podiatrist can recommend surgery if necessary.

95% of the people we talk to on a daily basis are in a lot of pain. After working with several doctors to help heal everyone, we all realized a lot of the pain started with their feet. Foot pain, even when it is minor, should be addressed immediately. Not only can it be a sign of serious health problems, such as diabetes, peripheral neuropathy, and arthritis, if left unchecked, it can lead to even more serious health problems, such as damage to your joints, hips, and spine. This starts a nasty cycle where one injury leads to another, and the body begins to break down.

The average adult takes 4,000-6,000 steps a day, and during an average day of walking, the cumulative force on your feet can equal hundreds of tons. This is how hard your feet actually work, and why it is so important to protect them. They are your first line of defense, and if they fail the rest of your body can be damaged, complicating future recovery, and in some serious cases leading to permanent disability which requires surgery.

At Health Quest Wellness Center, we believe that no one should have to live with pain, and after working with several podiatrists, we realized that helping people keep their feet healthy was essential to the overall health of the rest of their body. All of us agreed that proper foot care was a top priority. That is why we have created a new therapy to help  heal your feet fast.
